Capitals Volleyball Club is a safe environment for players to enhance their skills, gain self confidence, be a team player, and create friendships.
Our staff is dedicated to the emotional and physical development of each player on and off the court. Along with quality volleyball training we strive to provide life-enriching opportunities for all of our players.

Players have the opportunity to save on tuition while making a difference becoming a role model and mentor for younger players/teams.
Monthly, teams choose a charity to get involved with through volunteer work. Capitals Volleyball Club takes pride in our philanthropy by donating a percentage of proceeds to charities of each teams choosing.
Martina started playing volleyball at a young age. She played as a setter freshman and sophomore year and became a libero for the remainder of her high school career. Martina also competed in club where she was a setter. Martina received second team all league her junior year and first time all league her senior year and received the Mos
Martina started playing volleyball at a young age. She played as a setter freshman and sophomore year and became a libero for the remainder of her high school career. Martina also competed in club where she was a setter. Martina received second team all league her junior year and first time all league her senior year and received the Most Valuable Player award. Martina is currently the assistant varsity coach for Park Ridge High School, where she went to high school. Martina was voted as the 2023 Capitals Coach of the Year by parents and players.
Deirdre has been playing volleyball since the age of 13. In addition to playing throughout high school, she played 4 years of club volleyball. Deirdre was recognized as second team all league her senior year. Now she attends Montclair State University while continuing her coaching.
Alyssa started playing volleyball at the age of 13. She played four years of Varsity where she was recognized as Honorable Mention for her Junior year and Second Team All League her Senior year. Alyssa was chosen as Captain her Senior year and received the Coaches Award. She currently coaches at Elmwood Park High School, her alma mater, a

Nicole's love for volleyball started at a young age. After playing four years of varsity volleyball in high school she moved on to play collegiately until leaving to complete her studies in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography. In high school Nicole was recognized as Third Team All State, First Team All County and First Team All League her senior year. Nicole graduated her high school team with an undefeated regular season, first in the league, and second in counties.
Nicole became a volunteer coach for the local high school and later coached club volleyball for 4 years before creating the Capitals Volleyball Club. On the clubs offseason, Nicole is the Varsity and JV coach at Eastern Christian High School.
Kayla started playing volleyball in high school at East Orange Campus High School. In Kayla’s junior year of high school she helped her team win their first conference title with an undefeated record. Kayla attended Rider University where she played club volleyball for 5 years and managed the Rider Women’s Volleyball team for 1 year. She

Kayla interned for the Ivy League as a Championship and Sports Administration intern, coached club volleyball for 3 years, and recently was the assistant volleyball coach at Saint Peter’s University.
John has been in the fitness industry for over 12 years. He takes pride in coaching proper movement, as well as personal discipline, in order to improve the performance and lives of clients of all ages.

Kristen is Jersey born and raised and has over 10 years of experience of coaching and personal training. As a lover of strength training and delicious nutritious meals, she loves to share that knowledge with others to help them gain energy and confidence to live their best lives. When Kristen isn’t in the gym, you will find her spending time with her family, petting all the dogs, or planning her next trip to Disney.
Vanya Spirova is a professional gymnast. She received her early professional training in Bulgaria, where she was part of the acrobatic gymnastics national team. She graduated from National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski.” In her youth, Vanya won the title National and World Champion of Acrobatic Gymnastics.

Vanya is a certified USA Gymnastics coach. She has more then 15 years of experience as a professional coach and mentor. Vanya has developed her own program and methodology for working with athletes. The main focus of the program is safe and effective training for flexibility, strength and mobility. One of Vanya’s strongest qualities is her ability trough the training to build habits in children of all ages that will help them emerge as more aware, resilient and motivated people.
